Police charge man after Dingley Village collision

Major Collision Investigation Unit investigators have charged a man following a collision in Dingley Village yesterday morning.

Investigators have been told a Toyota Yaris crashed into the rear of a parked car which subsequently struck a pedestrian on the Mornington Peninsula Freeway around 8.30am.

A 23-year-old Cranbourne man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, a 50-year-old Cranbourne East man, has been charged with dangerous driving causing serious injury.

He was remanded to appear before Moorabbin Magistrates' Court on 20 September.
