Police charge man after Melton assault

A 21-year-old man has been charged following a collision and assault in Melton on 15 March.

It's alleged a man stepped out onto Coburns Road near High Street just before 3.30pm and smashed the windscreen of a car.

This caused three other cars to collide, nose to tail.

The driver of the damaged car got out of the vehicle and was involved in a physical altercation with the offender.

No one was seriously injured.

A Melton man was arrested at the scene and has been charged with multiple offences including reckless conduct endangering life, affray and assault with a weapon.

He has been remanded to appear in Sunshine Magistrates' court on 16 March.
