Police charge man after multi-vehicle crash at Randwick

A man will face court for number of driving offences in Sydney's east.

About 11.10 am yesterday (Friday 9 February 2024), emergency services were called to Avoca Street, Randwick, near Eulalie Avenue, following reports of a multi-vehicle crash.

Police arrived and found one vehicle had mounted the kerb and collided with a pedestrian and sideswiped a vehicle, before colliding with a tree.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a 30-year-old female at the scene before being taken to St Vincent's hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A 44-year-old male was also treated and taken to St Vincent's hospital in a stable condition.

Following further inquiries, the 44-year-old man was taken to Kings Cross Police Station where he was charged with dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm – drive manner dangerous, Negligent driving, and Driver motor vehicle during disqualification period.

He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court today (Saturday 10 February 2024).
