Armed Crime Squad detectives have charged a man following a shooting in Point Lonsdale this morning.
It's understood a man attended a medical clinic on Nelson Road with a suspected gunshot wound about 10.30am on 11 December.
The 37-year-old Point Lonsdale man was airlifted to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
Police attended a property on Gill Road and arrested a 55-year-old Point Lonsdale man just before 11am.
He has been charged with intentionally cause serious injury, reckless conduct endangering life, use unregistered firearm, use firearm in a dangerous manner, and use firearm in the commission of an offence.
He will face Geelong Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
It is understood the two men are known to one another.
