Police have charged three men with Murder in relation to the death of a man at George Town on Saturday night.
The men aged 30, 32, and 37, from George Town, have been remanded in custody to appear before an out-of-hours session of the the Launceston Magistrates Court at 8pm today.
Around 8.30pm Saturday, police responded to a report of a disturbance on Lambert Street between four people allegedly known to each other. On arrival, emergency services found a 34-year-old man from Mount Direction with multiple stab wounds. He was provided medical assistance but sadly died at the scene.
