Police charge three over supply of cocaine in Sydney

Drug and Firearms Squad detectives have charged three men following a three-month investigation into the alleged supply of cocaine in Sydney.

In November 2022, detectives attached to the State Crime Command's Drug and Firearms Squad established Strike Force Howse to investigate the supply of cocaine across Sydney's Inner West, Western and Southern suburbs.

Following extensive inquiries, strike force detectives – assisted by the Tactical Operations Unit – arrested three men and a woman at a motel in Parramatta about 11am yesterday (Wednesday 8 February 2023).

Detectives seized approximately one kilogram of cocaine at the scene.

A short time later, police executed five search warrants at properties in Lurnea, Warwick Farm, Raby, and Gregory Hills, and a business in Cabramatta.

During the warrants, police seized cash, a replica firearm, luxury watches, and small amounts of cocaine and cannabis. All items will undergo forensic examination.

All four people were taken to Merrylands and Granville Police Stations and charged with various offences.

A 23-year-old man from Warwick Farm was charged with supply large commercial quantity prohibited drug, supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.

A 24-year-old Gregory Hills man was charged with take part supply large commercial quantity prohibited drug, supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.

A 30-year-old man also from Gregory Hills was charged with take part supply large commercial quantity prohibited drug, supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.

All three men were bail refused to appear at Parramatta Local Court later today (Thursday 9 February 2023).

A 30-year-old woman was released pending further inquiries.

Investigations under Strike Force Howse are continuing.
