Police charge woman after assault in Southbank

Melbourne Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a woman in relation to an alleged assault in Southbank in late March.

The arrest relates to an incident on Flinders Walk on March 28, where a 60-year-old man and a 59-year-old woman were allegedly randomly assaulted by a man and a woman at about 1pm.

It's also alleged a 23-year-old woman was randomly approached and assaulted by a woman at the same time.

The 30-year-old woman from South Yarra has been charged with common law assault, unlawful assault, aggravated assault of a female, affray, discharge missile to endanger person or property, intentionally causing injury and recklessly causing injury.

She has been bailed to appear in Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 28 June.
