Police charge woman after multi vehicle collision in Delacombe

Police have charged a Delacombe woman following a collision involving a police car on 12 February.

Investigators have been told a Mitsubishi sedan collided with a police vehicle near the intersection of Whitelaw Avenue and Raydon Court just after 1am.

The police car then collided with a vehicle travelling west on Whitelaw Avenue.

Two police officers were taken to hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

One passenger of the Mitsubishi was taken to hospital for observation and the other two passengers were not injured.

The driver of the Mitsubishi, a 26-year-old woman, was arrested at the scene and has been charged with eight counts of reckless conduct endangering serious injury, drive manner dangerous, drive whilst disqualified, use unregistered motor vehicle, fraudulently use registration label, fail to give way and possess drug of dependence.

She has been bailed to appear in Ballarat Magistrates' Court on 20 April.
