Police lay charges over drug offences in Darwin 13 February

Northern Territory Police have served a notice to appear on a 32-year-old man for multiple offences following the execution of a search warrant at an address in Darwin's northern suburbs.

Strike Force Trident members were assisted by the Dog Operations Unit in their search of the 2 storey residence.

Drug Dog Rafa made numerous conditioned responses during the search which resulted in the following items being located and seized:

  • 4 x Mature cannabis plants
  • A trafficable quantity of cannabis plant material
  • $4750 in cash
  • A less than trafficable quantity of methamphetamine
  • CCTV equipment
  • 2 x Hydroponics grow tents including lighting
  • A mobile phone containing messages indicative of drug supply

The offender will appear on 27 March 2023 for the following:

  • 1 x Cultivate cannabis
  • 1 x Possess schedule 2 trafficable quantity
  • 1 x Possess schedule 1 dangerous drug
