Police lay firearm charges at Everton Park

A 20-year-old Everton Park man has been charged following an incident in Everton Park this afternoon (September 3).

It will be alleged around 12.30pm, the man attended a Glenbrook Street address and threatened a 20-year-old woman with what appeared to be a sawn-off shotgun.

Police tracked the man to a Drake Street address and made an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA).

The man was taken into custody without incident and the PSPA was revoked shortly after.

Police searched the address and a replica sawn-off shotgun was seized.

The 20-year-old Everton Park man has been charged with one count of going armed to cause fear and is expected to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on September 19.
