Police make arrest - Assault worker - Palmerston

Northern Territory Police are investigating an assault on a public safety officer in Palmerston yesterday afternoon.

Two offenders aged 18 and 39 threatened and assaulted a public safety officer and as they attempted to flee the scene, the 39-year-old was struck by a passing vehicle.

He was conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital in a stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

The 18-year-old was arrested nearby and charged with assault. He has been remanded to appear before Darwin Local Court today.
