Police make arrest over unlawful entry/assault in Darwin

Northern Territory Police have arrested a man after an unlawful entry at a business in Larrakeyah overnight.

At 12:15am, police received reports that an offender had unlawfully entered a business on Marina Boulevard.

The offender allegedly stole a quantity of alcohol before being confronted by an employee. The offender has attempted to strike the employee with a blunt weapon before physically assaulting him.

The employee suffered facial injuries and a minor concussion. The offender fled the scene in a nearby vehicle.

NT Police have since arrested a 25-year-old man in relation to the offending. He is expected to be charged later today.
