Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Griffin

A woman has died following a serious traffic crash involving two cars in Griffin this evening.

At 6pm, two cars were travelling along Wagner Road when they have collided head on.

The driver of one vehicle, a 66-year-old Cashmere woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the second vehicle, a 47-year-old Griffin woman was extricated from the car and transported to the Royal Brisbane Hospital in a critical condition.

Police are appealing for anyone that may have witnessed or has dashcam footage of this crash or the moments leading up to it to come forward.

Forensic Crash Unit continue to investigate.
