Police seek help to find missing man at Magnetic Island

Police are seeking public assistance to locate 55-year-old Andrew Gifford missing from Horseshoe Bay since yesterday afternoon (Friday 19 November).

Andrew (pictured) was last seen around 3.15pm outside the Rural Fire Station on Horseshoe Bay Road before walking west along Gifford Street and has not been seen since.

He is Caucasian, approximately 180cm tall with a large build and grey hair. He was last seen wearing a dark shirt and light coloured shorts and is barefoot.

Andrew's disappearance is out of character and his family and police are concerned for his welfare due to a medical condition.

Andrew, or anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact police immediately.

A large-scale air and land search focusing on the Horseshoe Bay area began late last night with police, SES and Rural Fire Service volunteers, with aerial assets joining at first light today.
