Police seek information after assault at Griffith

Police are appealing for witnesses following an alleged assault in Griffith last week.

About 7.45pm on Tuesday 26 May 2020, a man was allegedly assaulted in the driveway of a unit block on Olympic Street, Griffith.

Police have been told the man was hit repeatedly by two men and a woman, before they fled in a black Mazda sedan.

The man sustained lacerations to the top of his head, possible fractured ribs and abrasions over his body.

A nearby resident assisted the man, before calling police and taking him to hospital for treatment.

Officers from Murrumbidgee Police District attended, established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As investigations continue, police are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at that time to come forward.
