Police seek information after rifles stolen at Baan Baa

Police are appealing for information after the theft of two firearms and a safe in the state's north-east last week.

Between 2.30pm on Wednesday 23 December and 4.30pm on Saturday 26 December 2020, a property on Old Narrabri Road, Baan Baa, was broken into where a safe and two rifles were stolen.

Officers attached to Oxley Police District attended and commenced an investigation.

Police have a description of two men that may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The first man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged about 36, 195cm tall, slim build, brown hair and blue eyes with tattoos on his neck.

The second man is described as being Caucasian appearance, aged about 32, 180cm tall, slim build, brown hair and a beard with blue eyes.

The men are believed to be driving a white Toyota Yaris in the Western Region area.

Police are appealing for anyone with information, or who may have CCTV or dash cam vision from the area to contact Tamworth Police Station or Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.
