Police seek information after two-vehicle crash - Riverina

Police are appealing for information following a two-vehicle crash near the border of NSW and Victoria earlier this week.

About 10.40am (Tuesday 7 December 2021), emergency services were called to Tocumwal Road, Mulwala – about 10km north of Yarrawonga, Victoria – after a Nissan Patrol and a Mazda CX-3 collided.

The driver of the Mazda – a 24-year-old woman – was airlifted to Royal Melbourne Hospital where she remains in a serious condition with a broken pelvis, femur, clavicle, fractured ribs, and internal bleeding.

The driver of the Nissan – a 43-year-old man – was taken to Albury Hospital for treatment to minor injuries and mandatory testing.

Officers attached to the Traffic & Highway Patrol Command and the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit attended and established a crime scene.

The Crash Investigation Unit commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As those investigations continue, police are appealing for anyone with dashcam footage, or who may have witnessed the incident, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
