Police seek information on Unlawful entries in Alice Springs 7 July

Northern Territory Police are calling for information relating to a series of unlawful entries in The Gap last night.

Between 1:00am and 2:30am, several residences were unlawfully entered in the vicinity of Brookes St, Achilpa St and Kraegen St.

The occupant of one residence confronted two intruders in his back yard shortly after 1am. As the offenders were decamping over the fence to a neighbouring property, one of them struck the occupant. The occupant, an off-duty police officer, received a minor injury but did not require medical treatment.

Detective Acting Sergeant Andrew Nicholson said, "The offenders have not yet been identified and enquiries are continuing. It is possible the same offenders were responsible for several unlawful entries in the area overnight."

Anyone with information, CCTV or dash cam footage in the area in the early hours of this morning is asked to contact police on 131 444 and quote reference 9730715.
