Police seek witnesses - Domestic violence incident - Woodroffe

Northern Territory Police are investigating a domestic violence incident and are seeking witnesses.

Senior Constable Joanne Linklater said, "In particular, we would like to speak to the driver of a white Mitsubishi Pajero who was driving along James Circuit, Woodroffe, between 6.30pm and 7.30pm on Saturday 6 March 2021, when a woman ran onto the road in front of the vehicle.

"The 31-year-old woman had just been involved in a domestic incident. The vehicle did not hit the woman and the driver is not considered a suspect in this investigation, but may have information that will assist in the investigation.

"The victim only recently reported the matter."

Members from the NT Police Domestic and Family Violence Section would like to speak with any witnesses who may have other information.

Anybody who may have been in the area at the time, particularly with dash-cam footage, is urged to contact police on 131 444 or through Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 and quote reference 9581563.

Police would like to reassure the community there is no risk to their safety in relation to this matter and assistance from our community is required and appreciated.
