Police seek witnesses - Indecent behaviour in Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses in relation to an indecent behaviour incident in Alice Springs yesterday.

Around 8.30am, police received reports of a man indecently exposing himself in the area of Stuart Terrace, between Bath St and the Stuart Hwy, near the western edge of the Royal Flying Doctor Service lawns.

It will be alleged the man has exposed himself and assaulted a staff member of nearby business.

Police arrived at the scene and found the man had been restrained by members of the public.

He was taken to the Alice Springs Watch House and charged with two counts of Gross indecency in a public place, one count of Unlawful entry and one count of Aggravated assault. He will appear before court today.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have relevant information, including dash-cam footage from the area, to come forward.
