Police seek witnesses - Unlawful entry - Palmerston

Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses following an alleged unlawful entry in Bellamack overnight.

At around 12:45am, police received a report that a group of male offenders had broken into a residence, attempting to steal the occupant's handbag.

A 79-year-old woman was home at the time of the offence. She was assaulted by one of the offenders as the group were fleeing the location. Thankfully she did not suffer any serious injuries.

Police are searching for the offenders and investigations are ongoing.
