Police Seeking Information on Building Site Burglaries, Eastern Shore

Bellerive CIB have charged a 27 year old man with being in possession of stolen property and firearm offences following a search of a residence at Clarendon Vale this morning.

Police will allege the recovered property was stolen from a commercial building site in Bellerive over the weekend.

"Unfortunately, we have seen an increase in the unlawful entry of building sites across the Eastern Shore, particularly in Rokeby, Risdon Vale, Howrah and Bellerive over recent weeks," Detective Sergeant Felicity Boyd from Bellerive CIB said.

"Commercial building sites along with many residential sites have been targeted, with power tools and other valuable items stolen."

"We believe members of the public will be able to assist by providing information about the offenders and the location of stolen property and we urge anyone with information to come forward."

"People are encouraged to mark their property, take photographs of valuable items and record serial numbers or other identifying features to prevent theft and assist police in identifying the owners of stolen property."
