Police update 1: Attempted murder charge, Aspley

Queensland Police have charged a 23-year-old man with attempted murder after an alleged attempted break-and-enter at Aspley late last year.

It will be alleged on December 13, around 9:30pm, the man and two other people gained access to a Luckins Street property before they were confronted by a 46-year-old male resident.

It will be further alleged the 23-year-old then presented a firearm and shot the 46-year-old in the abdomen before the trio fled the property.

The 46-year-old man was taken to hospital in a stable condition with a non-life-threatening wound to his stomach. No one else was physically injured.

A 23-year-old Clayfield man was last week charged with one count of enter dwelling with intent, attempted murder.

He is due to face Brisbane Magistrates Court today.

Investigations are ongoing.
