Police have charged a fifth boy following investigations into a number of property crime offences in Mount Isa this month.
The 12-year-old Winston boy has been charged with seven offences including five counts of enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, four counts of wilful damage, two counts of unlawful use of motor vehicles aircraft or vessels – use publish on social media – advertise involvement / act / omission in the night in company and breach of bail condition, and one count each of enter premises and commit indictable offence by break, dangerous operation of a vehicle and obstruct a police officer.
These charges follow four other teenage boys, aged between 14 and 16, being charged with 51 offences including four counts each of enter and commit and enter with intent, three counts of wilful damage, two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and one count of dangerous operation of a vehicle.
The 12-year-old boy was denied bail and is due to appear in Mount Isa Childrens Court today.
