Police update: Search for missing woman at Kilcoy

Police are continuing the search for 39-year-old Leanne Edwards reported missing from Kilcoy since Thursday, June 4.

She was last seen walking along Kilcoy-Esk Road around 7:30pm the same evening.

A land and air search was launched on Saturday morning involving PolAir and other specialist police resources. Around 50 State Emergency Service volunteers have also been involved each day since the search began.

The search is focusing on bushland and properties around Kilcoy, Esk and Somerset Dam. Officers will commence searching again tomorrow morning.

Leanne is described as around 170cm tall, Caucasian, with shoulder length brown hair. She was last seen wearing black pants, a khaki green jacket and carrying a small back pack.

Police are appealing to Leanne, or anyone who knows her whereabouts, to come forward.
