Police Update: Stolen Vehicle Incidents At Logan

Police have charged a man in relation to a series of robberies at Logan on Tuesday, 7 July.

It will be alleged that between 8pm and 8.30pm, a man threatened multiple motorists on Chambers Flat Road with a knife before stealing two vehicles over a short period of time.

The first stolen vehicle, a silver Ford Falcon sedan, was subsequently involved in a three-vehicle traffic crash on Chambers Flat Road, Waterford West, before the man allegedly stole a grey Nissan X-Trail and fled the scene.

One man sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the incidents and was transported to Logan Hospital for treatment.

Following police investigations, a 24-year-old Logan Reserve man was arrested on 10 July and was charged with three counts of armed robbery and one count each of threatening violence, and dangerous operation of a vehicle.

He is due to reappear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on 13 July.
