Police update: Urangan Homicide - Appeal for vehicle and man observed behaving suspiciously

Police from taskforce Uniform Jaw investigating an alleged homicide in Urangan earlier this week are renewing calls for witnesses to come forward regarding sightings of a vehicle of interest and suspicious behaviour of the man alleging driving it.

On Monday April 4, detectives believe the vehicle, a white 2020 Toyota Landcruiser Prado, travelled away from the site of the alleged homicide within a Victory East Road industrial estate at 7.15am, before returning at 7.30am.

Police believe the man allegedly driving the vehicle may have stopped several times and behaved in a suspicious manner disposing of items.

Police are appealing for witnesses, especially those with dashcam or CCTV to come forward with any sightings of the man or the vehicle within this fifteen minute timeframe.

Police believe the vehicle travelled North on Elizabeth Street, past the Botanical gardens and continued towards the Charlton Esplanade between the Urangan Pier and Ann Street.

Detectives would like the driver of white or silver 4WD, possibly a Mitsubishi Pajero, overtaken by the vehicle of interest around 7.18am on Elizabeth Street to make contact.
