Drop past one of Cessnock City Council's pop-up engagements this week to learn more about Council's draft Delivery Program and Operational Plan (DPOP), which are on public exhibition.
Council has been actively preparing for any outcome on its application for a special variation of rates - the first of the two draft DPOPs on exhibition (Scenario 1) is relevant moving forward.
Helpful and friendly Council staff will be on hand at the casual community engagement sessions to hear your feedback about the important documents and answer any questions.
The pop-ups will be held at:
- Huntlee Shopping Centre - 2pm-4pm on Wednesday 3 June
- Cessnock Village - 4pm-7pm on Thursday 4 June
- Col Brown Park, Kurri Kurri - 9:30am-11:30am on Friday 5 June
Cessnock City Mayor Daniel Watton encouraged the community to read the draft DPOP and have their say on the future direction of their local government area.
"The Operational Plan is an important document that details the actions planned for the coming 12 months," said Clr Watton.
"These key documents help ensure Council is focused on what matters to the community, guide decisions and spending, and track progress over time."
