With Christmas just over two months away, the Healthy Food Co volunteers are busy preparing for pre-ordered and pre-purchased hampers for local families over the festive period.
They are packing all the foods and treats from chicken and vegetables to mince pies and custard.
The affordable hampers aim to support families for a Christmas feast and to keep the pantry stocked in the days leading up to and post the big day.
Volunteer Maxine Mackay is one local who has placed her order, helping to eliminate the stress of food shopping at Christmas.
"I am actually going to do mine for my daughter as a Christmas present," she said. "I think it helps families out with a bit of extra food for Christmas. "It's a brilliant idea."
Families have until 1 November to order their Christmas hampers with only a $20 deposit (non-refundable) required.
The $100 hampers can be paid off in instalments by 30 November with hampers ready for collection from Monday 13 December.
Other Christmas goodies are also available throughout November and December at both of the Healthy Food Co in Smithfield Plains and Elizabeth Downs.
