- Nearly $100,000 awarded to organisations to deliver initiatives that support LGBTIQA+ communities across the State.
- Kimberley Blak Pride, Perth Pride Shed, Palmerston Legal and Pride in Swan Inc to receive up to $25,000 each.
- Inclusion Grants support collaborative initiatives that align with the LGBTIQA+ Inclusion Strategy 2025-2035.
The Cook Labor Government has awarded four grants of nearly $25,000 each to support collaborative initiatives that will educate, inspire and raise awareness of LGBTIQA+ issues within communities across Western Australia as part of the Tier 2 Inclusion Grants.
The successful applicants are:
- Kimberley Blak Pride - to deliver the 'Kimberley SBLGBTIQA+ Plan' project, following on from the 2025 SBLGBTIQA+ Roadshow. Regional pride groups from Kununurra to Broome will also develop a five-year plan to build a shared voice for advocacy and set investment priorities specific to the Kimberley.
- Perth Pride Shed - to create an inter-generational workshop for the LGBTIQA+SB community and its allies, combatting isolation and suicidality in the community through connection, creativity and belonging.
- Palmerston Legal - to deliver the 'Safe to Be, Safe to Ask: Inclusive Rights Education & Awareness Project', a co-designed, lived experience-led and expert-informed education project that will support people with disability learn about the gender spectrum and LGBTIQA+ inclusion.
- Pride in Swan Inc -to deliver the 'Living The Rainbow: Creating Space for Every Colour to Shine' project, which will celebrate diversity and support LGBTIQA+ queer people of colour, especially first-generation migrants.
To be awarded a Tier 2 grant, organisations needed to demonstrate alignment to the priority areas of the whole-of-government LGBTIQA+ Inclusion Strategy 2025-2035 by building belonging, connection and visibility or promoting safety, equity and wellbeing as part of their projects.
The Cook Labor Government awarded the Tier 1 Inclusion Grants last month on International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT), delivering more than $150,000 to 17 organisations across the State.
The LGBTIQA+ Inclusion Grants Program is a four-year commitment by the Cook Labor Government. Learn more on the Department of Communities grants website .
