Road closure Pomona Road Stirling

Pomona Road, Stirling, will be reduced to a single lane of traffic for ongoing development works.

The northern side of Pomona Road will be closed from 7:00am to 5:00pm weekdays for a three week period to allow for the installation of new kerbing and a footpath between the Mt Barker Road roundabout and the entrance to the proposed Aldi site.

Vehicles exiting the freeway will be able to turn left onto Pomona Road to travel east, however west-bound traffic will be diverted via Merrion Terrace to Mt Barker Road.

Access to the car park behind Mt Barker Road shops will remain open, and all houses and the Duxton Offices will be accessible during this period using the eastern direction of traffic flow.

Both lanes will be open after 5:00pm on days when night works are scheduled on the freeway on and off ramps.

Works are estimated to be completed by Monday 5 October 2020, however the developer has advised that the road will reopen earlier if the works are completed ahead of schedule.
