Road works in Orange this week

Roadworks continue to take a high priority in Orange this week, with Council crews and contractors working in a number of locations across the city.

  • This week work continues to complete stabilising underlying pavement and road seal in Coronation Drive and Woodward Street.
  • Weather permitting, crews will be working on stabilising underlying pavement and hot mix sealing in Coronation Drive, Anson St, Diamond Drive.
  • Council crews will continue to construct remaining footpaths and kerbs as part of the new Clinton / Dalton Roundabout
  • Works continues on the new Airport hardstand area. Crews will be compacting gravel with a surface-seal planned for Friday.
  • Crews will look to make preparations in Hamer Street for a new speed hump as well as completing asphalt patching at March and Woodward Streets.
  • Work continues on the Clergate Rd upgrade. Continue boxing out for pavement. The road will continue to be closed during working hours and re-open at night. Crews are expecting deliveries of more stormwater pipe (1200 mm) to be installed as part of the upgrade.
  • Work continues on the installation of coloured road stencils at entrances to the CBD. The last of the asphalting will be completed with stencil-stamping and colouring to continue.
