Rockdale Library Staff Recognised: Bayside

Rockdale Library staff were formally recognised and thanked for their outstanding contribution to the Bayside community at a Council Meeting held on Wednesday 26 August 2026.

The acknowledgement followed the library's recent 10th anniversary celebrations on Saturday 1 August, marking a decade as one of Bayside's most valued community hubs.

The construction of Rockdale Library was one of Bayside Council's first major projects and signalled the beginning of a significant investment program focused on community and recreation facilities.

Since opening its doors, the multi-award-winning library has welcomed more than 2.2 million visitors and delivered 1,448 programs for people of all ages, from babies and young children to seniors.

Today, Rockdale Library continues to thrive as a vibrant destination for reading, lifelong learning, technology, workshops, film screenings and community connection. It is a place where people can meet, create, discover and be inspired.

This success is a testament to the dedication, professionalism and commitment of Council's library staff, whose ongoing efforts have helped make Rockdale Library a welcoming and inclusive space for the community.
