The annual SeaFire is returning to the Gold Coast with four different locations to watch the international fireworks competition.
Mayor Tom Tate said the beloved fireworks competition has been expanded to Broadbeach, Broadwater Parklands, the HOTA Parklands and the Surfers Paradise foreshore.
The decision to expand locations was made to help protect the Surfers Paradise foreshore and disperse crowds for community safety following the effects of Tropical Cyclone Alfred and subsequent high tides.
"The modified event means that Gold Coasters will be able to see the same amazing fireworks display without risking further damage to our beaches, which are still recovering from Tropical Cyclone Alfred," Mayor Tate said.
"The four different locations means that you can still enjoy a waterside view while watching the spectacular fireworks."
"SeaFire will start at the same time, meaning you can see the same show from any of the four vantage points."
"Grab your family and head to one of the viewing sites for the 18-minute display, beginning at all locations at 7pm."
Locations:
- Broadbeach
- Broadwater Parklands
- HOTA Parklands
- Surfers Paradise foreshore
Time: 7pm, Saturday 31 May 2025
The fireworks will showcase the two international competitors Belgium and USA and culminate with the Australian fireworks finale.
SeaFire is a free family-friendly event presented by City of Gold Coast.
