Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing Wantirna South girl Ashley Bakewell.
The 12-year-old was last seen this morning (3 March) about 7.40am in Wantirna South.
Police have concerns for Ashley's welfare due to her age and as she has a medical condition.
An image of Ashley has been released in the hope someone recognises her and can provide information on her whereabouts.
Ashley is described as approximately 160cm tall with light brown and blonde shoulder length hair, blue eyes, and has freckles on her nose.
She is known to frequent Stud Park Shopping Centre in Rowville and Knox areas.
Anyone who sees Ashley or has information on her whereabouts is urged to contact Knox Police Station on 9881 7000.
