Stolen vehicle crash, Ashmore

Police are investigating after a stolen vehicle crashed at Ashmore this morning.

Around 6.35am police were called after a stolen Landrover Range Rover crashed into bushland at the intersection of Old Coach Road and Southport Nerang Road.

A 13-year-old boy was located nearby at Burnside Court suffering from serious injuries.

He has been transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.

The vehicle had been stolen from Carrara between 9pm on April 5 and 2.15am on April 6.

The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating and are appealing for any dashcam or witnesses to the crash.
