Playgrounds are important community assets that support healthy, active lifestyles and social connection.

We're proud to invest in spaces that encourage children to explore the great outdoors.

Sports & Recreation portfolio chair Councillor Eddy Kontelj

Local playgrounds are places where kids can learn through play and connect with their neighbourhood.

We want to make sure these spaces reflect what our community needs and values, so we're asking families to get involved and give us their insight.

The City manages more than 380 public playgrounds and another 62 early childhood centre-based playgrounds. All playgrounds are regularly inspected and included in a monitored upgrade schedule reviewed annually.

Local playgrounds are designed to be accessible by foot or bicycle, offering opportunities for physical activity and informal play close to home.
