Submit your School Holiday Guide activities now

Local businesses, organisations and youth groups can now submit their low cost or no cost activities for Townsville City Council's School Holiday Guide spring edition.

It's free to submit your activity to the guide, which is a one-stop shop for kids, parents and caregivers to find activities across Townsville during the school holidays.

Community and Cultural Development Committee chairperson Ann-Maree Greaney said the guide was a well-loved reference for the busy school holiday period.

"There are activities for your kids and teens in each School Holiday Guide, whether they are into sports, art, reading, creating, or anything in between," Cr Greaney said.

"That's why we're calling on a wide range of businesses, organisations and youth groups to send in their activities to include in the upcoming spring edition of the guide. On average we have about 40 fun-filled activities in each guide.

"It's important that these activities suit children up to age 17 and are either low cost or free, as we want all families to be able to make the most of the activities listed.

"If you have a suitable activity, make sure you submit it through the School Holiday Guide page on Council's website by 5pm on Wednesday 7 September 2022."
