Summit to Boost Digital Health Safety, Quality and Improvement

Australian Digital Health Agency

On 7 February 2023 the Australian Digital Health Agency, together with the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care, will host C3.0 Connect. Care. Confidence, our inaugural summit on clinical governance in digital health.

The summit will bring together leaders and innovators from across the healthcare industry to discuss how digital health solutions are making health information more accessible, improving the quality of care and changing the way in which healthcare is provided and experienced worldwide.

The summit's title is inspired by Web 3.0, which represents the next evolution of the internet, built on the foundations of decentralisation, openness and greater useability. It is being held in Sydney and will be a digitally led, immersive experience exploring the next chapter of clinical governance in digital heath.

The summit can be attended virtually, with digital health representatives from across Australia and clinical governance leaders from government, private health, peak bodies, universities and the software industry invited to join this important national conversation.

The summit will explore and bring together ideas and areas for action under three guiding themes:

  1. Connect: Connecting leaders in health technology and direct health care delivery with a focus on clinical governance.
  2. Care: Exploring the importance of shared responsibility for embedding clinical governance in the development and use of digital health solutions, focused on patient safety and delivering high-quality health and care services.
  3. Confidence: Building confidence and trust in digital health technologies by focusing on creating the right solutions for defined challenges, with patients at the centre of their own health journeys.

Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Digital Health Agency Amanda Cattermole said the C3.0 Summit is a catalyst for increased collaboration across the entire industry.

"There has never been a better time to start a national conversation about the governance of digital health technologies and services that are fundamentally changing the way healthcare is provided and experienced in Australia and around the world.

"Bringing national and international experts and healthcare industry leaders together for the C3.0 Summit lays a foundation for the delivery of a healthier future for all Australians through connected healthcare."

Chris Leahy, Acting Chief Executive Officer, Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care, said that they're proud to be collaborating with the Australian Digital Health Agency on this important event.

"Our purpose is to contribute to better health outcomes and experiences for all patients and consumers and improve value and sustainability in the health system. This event will bring the importance of clinical governance to the forefront for key industry leaders."
