Police are investigating after a suspected firearm was located in a western suburbs park today.
At about 11.30am Friday 31 July, police responded to reports that a suspected firearm had been located at a reserve in Kidman Park.
Police attended the reserve and seized the item for further examination.
The item will be subjected to forensic and ballistic analysis to determine whether it is a firearm and whether it has any connection to criminal activity.
Investigations are continuing.
