Sustainable Saturday comes to Concord

This year the City of Canada Bay announces its first ever Sustainable Saturday - a full day event dedicated to all things sustainable!

Sustainable Saturday will kick off at Greenlees Park, Concord on Saturday, 1 April from 11am-3pm.

"We are excited to be hosting the first event of this kind in the City of Canada Bay," said City of Canada Bay Mayor Angelo Tsirekas.

"I invite community members of all ages to come along to enjoy eco-themed performances and workshops, check out an electric vehicle display, and learn about Council's energy efficiency and biodiversity programs," he said.

Sustainable Saturday will feature an electric vehicle expo, second-hand market stalls, clothing and toy swaps, an insect display from The Young Naturalist, plus a range of hands-on workshops, food and sustainability information stalls.

Visitors will also have the chance to get a free bike tune-up and take home a free native plant (while stocks last).
