Taskforce Falcon Charges Four in Foiled Crime Figure Plot

A police operation has foiled an alleged plot to kill a prominent organised-crime figure, leading Taskforce Falcon detectives to charge four males accused of involvement at various stages of the conspiracy.

About 3pm on Friday 26 September 2025, officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command noticed a grey BMW sedan with cloned plates on Columbine Avenue in Bankstown.

The driver was allegedly wearing a hooded jumper pulled over his face and a surgical face mask.

When police approached the vehicle to speak to the driver, he allegedly took off from the scene at speed.

A pursuit was initiated through Bankstown and Padstow; however, terminated a short time later due to safety concerns.

During a canvass of the area, police allegedly found a loaded handgun discarded on Fairford Road.

The BMW was found abandoned about 3.40pm on Beaconsfield Street in Revesby and both items were seized for further forensic examination.

After providing the initial response, local police referred the investigation to State Crime Command's Taskforce Falcon under Strike Force Encantado.

Detectives uncovered several parties allegedly involved at various stages of planning the intended murder, including in the setting up of staged vehicles, surveillance on the target, the planning of getaway drivers, as well as those coordinating the hit.

It was also uncovered some members of the group were also involved in taking a separate contract to fire-bomb a vehicle on Mahony Road in Riverstone on Saturday 18 October 2025.

Following extensive inquiries, from 6am yesterday (Thursday 22 April 2026), strike force detectives – with assistance from Raptor Squad – executed five warrants in Leppington, Spring Farm, Lurnea and Long Bay.

In Leppington, police arrested a 26-year-old man. He was taken to Campbelltown Police Station, where he was charged with conspire and agree to murder any person and knowingly direct activities of criminal group. He was also charged with damage property by fire/exp >$15000 relating to the Riverstone car fire. The man was refused bail to appear in Campbelltown Local Court today (Friday 24 April 2026).

At a separate Leppington address, police arrested a 21-year-old man. He was taken to Campbelltown Police Station, where he was charged with conspire and agree to murder any person, participate criminal group contribute criminal activity, drive conveyance taken without consent of owner, possess unregistered firearm-pistol, and two counts of possess unregistered firearm-not pistol/prohibited firearm. The man was refused bail to appear in Campbelltown Local Court today.

About 2.30pm at an address in Punchbowl, police arrested a 21-year-old man. He was taken to Campsie Police Station, where he was charged with participate criminal group contribute criminal activity. He was refused bail to appear in Bankstown Local Court today, where police will allege the man conducted surveillance on the OCN figure.

About 6.40pm, police arrested a 17-year-old male in Ashcroft. He was taken to Liverpool Police Station where he was charged with participate criminal group contribute criminal activity. He was granted strict conditional bail to appear in a children's court on Monday 11 May 2026, where police will allege the male conducted surveillance on the OCN figure.

Police also arrested a fifth 20-year-old man in Lurnea. He was taken to Campbelltown Police Sation, where he was charged with participate criminal group contribute criminal activity and damage property by fire/exp <=$2000 relating to the Riverstone car fire. Police do not allege he was involved in the conspiracy. He was granted strict conditional to appear in Campbelltown Local Court on Thursday 14 May 2026.
