Teenage Girl Charged After Assault At Penrith

A teenage girl will face court today following an alleged assault of a pregnant teen in Sydney's west last month.

About 6:30pm on Tuesday 28th April 2026, a 16-year-old girl and 18-year-old man were travelling on a bus in Penrith, when they were allegedly approached by a group of teenagers, who assaulted them.

The group of youths left the scene when the bus driver stopped the bus.

The 16-year-old girl suffered swelling and injuries to the left side of her face. The male victim had no visible injuries.

Following inquiries, about 3:40pm yesterday, Thursday 14 May 2026, officers attached to Police Transport Command were on foot patrol in Penrith when they located the 17-year-old girl, who had allegedly assaulted the 16-year-old girl.

After a short foot pursuit with Police, she was arrested and taken to Penrith Police Station where she was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company, common assault and affray.

She was refused bail to appear before a Children's Court today, Friday 15 May 2026
