Three more charged as part of investigation into fatal stabbing in St Kilda

Police have charged an additional three teens with a number of offences overnight as part of the Homicide Squad investigation into the fatal stabbing in St Kilda earlier this month.

Warrants were executed on Thursday evening at residential addresses across Melbourne's north west by members of the Homicide Squad, the Gang Crime Squad and local police.

A 15-year-old Taylors Hill boy was charged with violent disorder, affray, possess cannabis, possess controlled weapon and commit indictable offence whilst on bail.

A 17-year-old St Albans boy was charged with violent disorder, affray and possess cannabis.

A 17-year-old Aintree boy was charged with violent disorder and affray.

All three will face a children's court today.

The Taylor's Hill boy has also been charged with aggravated home invasion and armed robbery in relation to two separate matters.

On Wednesday of this week, a 16-year-old Kurunjang boy and a 17-year-old Taylors Hill boy were charged with affray and violent disorder.

The five arrests form part of the investigation into the fatal stabbing of an 18-year-old Tarneit man in St Kilda on 4 December.

Emergency services were called to St Kilda beach just after 7.30pm that night following reports of people fighting.

The teenage victim was located with stab wounds on the beach in the vicinity of Pier Road.

He was transported to hospital but subsequently passed away.

The exact circumstances and motivation for the incident are still under investigation and detectives are keen to speak to anyone with further information.

Police would also like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident and has mobile phone vision, CCTV or dash-cam footage.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing and police expect to arrest several more people in relation to the matter.
