Thu-Trang Tran Appointed to Telecom Industry Ombudsman Board

The Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman Limited (TIO) welcomes the new appointment of Thu-Trang Tran as a member of its Board of Directors. Thu-Trang's three-year term commenced on 26 February 2024.

Thu-Trang joins the Board as a Director with Consumer Experience, replacing Gordon Renouf who retired on 25 February 2024.

Thu-Trang brings more than two decades of experience to the TIO Board in social justice advocacy, strategic leadership, and regulatory expertise in private and public sector organisations in Australia and overseas. She serves as a Commissioner on the Victorian Building Authority Board and Victorian Liquor Commission, Board Director at auDA (au.Domain Administration Ltd.), and as a Board Director at Good Shepherd Australia New Zealand.

Board Chair Professor the Hon. Michael Lavarch AO said, "The TIO Board welcomes the appointment of Thu-Trang as an experienced Director with a deep understanding of the consumer protection landscape."

The Board of TIO Limited is chaired by an independent Director and comprises a balanced mix of Directors with industry and consumer experience, an Independent Director with not-for-profit governance experience and an Independent Director with commercial governance experience.
