Bayside Council will officially open the upgraded Tindale Reserve Park on Friday 3 July 2026 from 3.30pm to 5pm, with Mayor Edward McDougall and Councillors marking the completion of the renewal project and the re-opening of this community space.
The significant upgrade has delivered a new play-space and improved park facilities designed to support play, recreation and accessibility for people of all ages in the local community.
Key features include:
- New play equipment for children aged 2 to 12 years, including shade sails and safe under-surfacing.
- A new fitness station for all ages
- A handball court and netball ring.
New pathways, park fencing and accessible furniture including picnic settings, seats and a drinking fountain.
Together, these improvements help future-proof Tindale Reserve by providing durable, flexible facilities that will support the community's needs for years to come.
The project forms part of Council's ongoing commitment to improve local parks and public spaces across Bayside for residents and visitors.
Bayside Mayor Edward McDougall said
"Tindale Reserve is such an important local open space, and these upgrades have really helped create a more welcoming and functional park for children, families and the wider community." Mayor McDougall said.
"With the new play-space, fitness equipment and improved accessibility features, it will be easier and more enjoyable for people of all ages to use the park and spend time together outdoors."
