Toogoolawah police proudly serving local community

The Queensland Police Service has reaffirmed its commitment to continuing operations at Toogoolawah Police Station following recent incorrect media reports.

There are no plans to close either Toogoolawah or Blackbutt police stations with officers attached to these stations continuing to proudly serve their local communities now and into the future.

Policing services are delivered in these communities by local officers, and when necessary, resources from adjoining divisions and specialist units are deployed.

The Queensland Police Service will always prioritise community safety and regularly assesses facilities to determine necessary upgrades and resourcing when required.

Ipswich District Officer Acting Superintendent Kylie Rigg said changes to the presence of Toogoolawah police was not being considered.

"There are no plans to close Toogoolawah Police Station", Acting Superintendent Kylie Rigg said.

"I can assure the local community that Toogoolawah Police Station will continue to operate with local officers continuing to serve the Toogoolawah community."
