Do you want to have your say on transport issues affecting the Peninsula?
The Peninsula Transport Forum is your chance to let local candidates in the upcoming Victorian election know - what you think public transport should look like on the Peninsula.
The forum is organised by the Metropolitan Transport Forum and hosted by the Mornington Peninsula Shire and will be held at Hastings Community Hub on 12 October 2022.
Mayor, Councillor, Anthony Marsh will chair the event, consisting of a panel of candidates running in the Victorian election. Candidates will debate local transport issues including:
- a cross-Peninsula bus service from Mornington to Hastings
- rail electrification beyond Frankston
- walking and cycling
- safer roads and infrastructure.
The panel of invited speakers includes:
- Briony Hutton, Liberal candidate for Hastings
- Paul Mercurio AM, Labor candidate for Hastings
- Paul Saunders, Greens candidates for Hastings.
Election candidates will have the chance to outline their vision for transport and community members will have an opportunity to ask questions of the panel.

The Metropolitan Transport Forum is an advocacy group comprising members from Melbourne metropolitan local government, associate members representing transport companies and participants from the state government and environment groups.
