Quotes attributable to Mayor, Anthony Marsh:

"Transport is a key issue for the Mornington Peninsula Shire and I am very keen to hear from candidates their views on our key transport priorities, including a cross-Peninsula bus service from Mornington to Hastings and rail electrification beyond Frankston. As a Council we are asking for better public transport, more active transport options, better connectivity and access to jobs, education, services and amenity across the Peninsula.

"We'd also like to hear from candidates about their commitments to new walking and cycling infrastructure including our proposed Peninsula Trail. And we are desperately in need of funding to make our roads safer. The Peninsula has unacceptably high levels of road trauma – having experienced the equal highest number of road deaths among Victoria's 79 municipalities for the period 2014 to 2021. I encourage our community to attend this event – this is a fantastic opportunity to influence the future of public transport across the Peninsula."
