Passports and visas
You don't need a visa to travel to Denmark as a visitor, but your passport should be valid for your length of stay.
Remember your European Health Insurance Card - EHIC but also take out travel insurance, even if you're only going for one night. It could save you a lot of money if you get into difficulties.
You should carry ID with you at all times - you'll need to carry your passport to the match to gain entry to the stadium.
If you lose your passport, you'll need to apply online to get an Emergency Travel Document once the process has been completed you will receive an email informing you when to collect your document from the British Embassy in Copenhagen.
Travelling from the airport
Copenhagen airport (CPH)
The Copenhagen airport has excellent facilities including many duty-free shops and refreshment outlets. There are several airport information and transfer desks, and service centres located throughout the airport. The two transfer centres are in Terminal 3 and can handle re-bookings, missed flights and cancellations. The service information areas are in the transit hall and terminals 2 and 3, both situated next to security check-in. These information desks can handle enquiries regarding airport services, flight information and much more.
There are several options to get from the airport to Copenhagen city centre:
Copenhagen airport train station
There is a modern train station located at the end of Terminal 3 directly over from arrivals.
Metro
If you want to go to central stations like Kongens Nytorv or Nørreport, you should get on the metro. The metro is at the end and above terminal 3.
All the trains go in the same direction from the airport (M2 to Vanløse Station), so you do not have to worry about getting on the wrong train. Tickets can be bought at the metro station and at the DSB ticket sales counter in terminal 3. Please note that the machines only accept coins and all major credit cards, not notes.
Bus
Bus 5C will take you directly to Copenhagen Central Station, Town Hall Square, Nørreport and other stations. It takes about 30-35 minutes from the airport to the Central Station.
Taxi
Taxis can pick up passengers outside terminal 1 and 3 and will get you to downtown Copenhagen in about 20 minutes depending on traffic. It will cost approximately DKK 250-300. (approx. £30-£35)
Local transport
You have a choice of tickets for the metro, bus and train services, which are integrated in the entire Greater Copenhagen area, where a metro ticket is valid on the buses and trains as well.
Always buy a ticket before boarding the train or metro. You can buy your ticket in ticket machines, which accept Danish cash and the most common credit cards, or 7 Eleven kiosks at the train and metro stations. In Copenhagen airport arrival hall and at Copenhagen Central Station there is a DSB ticket office as well as ticket machines. Please note that not all ticket types/travel cards are for sale via machines.
Always have your ticket with you in case a conductor wants to see it. Travelling without a valid ticket will result in a fine of up to DKK 750.
The City Pass gives you unlimited access to buses, trains, metro and harbour buses in zones 1 - 4, which includes the centre of Copenhagen and to and from the airport. The City Pass is valid for 24, 48, 72 or 120 hours. You can buy your City Pass at the ticket vending machine at all stations and at the airport.
Getting to the stadium
Parken Stadium, known for sponsorship reasons as Telia Parken, is a football stadium (Inner Østerbro) district of Copenhagen, Denmark, built from 1990-1992. The stadium, which features a retractable roof, currently has a capacity of 38,065 for football games, and is the home of FC Copenhagen and the Danish National Football Team.
To get to Parken Stadium from Central Station, take Metro (M3 line) from København H (central station) to Trianglen St (Metro). The stadium is approximately 7 minutes' walk along Øster Alle.
At the match
Prohibited items and regulations that apply at the stadium include:
- you are not allowed to be at Telia Parken if you are drunk or under the influence of drugs
- food and beverages - including alcoholic drinks of any kind - are not permitted in to the ground

Tips
As in any other city beware of pickpockets and bag snatchers at airports, railway stations, around the town centre and when using public transport - only carry what you need and leave spare cash and valuables in hotel safety deposits.
