Trees For Dad 2026: Bayside

Bayside residents are invited to celebrate their dad, or a father figure they would like to recognise, by planting a native tree this Father's Day.

Council's annual Trees for Dad event will be held at Depena Reserve, Dolls Point, on Saturday 5 September. It is a chance for families, friends and community members to create a living tribute while helping grow Bayside's urban forest.

All trees and planting equipment will be provided, and Council staff will be on hand to assist participants. Please wear suitable clothing, closed-toe shoes, a hat and sunscreen.

Participants can select a preferred one-hour planting session when registering:

  • Session 1: 10am to 11am
  • Session 2: 11am to 12pm
  • Session 3: 12pm to 1pm

Date: Saturday 5 September

Location: Depena Reserve, Sanoni Ave, Dolls Point

The event is free, but registration is essential as places are limited.
